Spore

Belle as we all know is very creative. She loves to draw but also to make up her own characters. Well there is a game coming out called Spore that lets you create characters and then play with them in a world. The actual game isn't out yet but the Creature Creator is. Brad had gotten it because it sounded interesting, he didn't realize just how perfect it would end up being for Belle.

It really is a very neat program, and user friendly. You are given a basic blob of a body, can stretch out the spine and move it around. Then you can pick arms, legs, eyes, hands... you name it! Then you color it. And lastly you can make it move around a small patch of world, make it dance, show ranges of emotion, and so on. You can even give it a few babies to interact with.

Anyway, Belle picked it up in no time. She can do everything completely on her own, although she prefers some help when it comes to saving it. She would spend hours on it if we let her. Her current theme is creating Star Wars characters. The one she is making here is Lama Su (of course).

It is really neat watching her create her creatures too. She is a total master at using the mouse and just clicks away doing her thing. I'm so happy we found this because it gives her such a great outlet to create, plus gets her use to working on the computer. The program is like Maya or Max for kids!
