Poor Belle. Last Friday night after bath Belle starts complaining that her ears hurt. I give her some Tylenol but it doesn't do any good. We get into bed and she is trying to go to sleep but can't because of the pain. She is just crying and screaming and begging me to help her. :( Finally I say enough and can tell that just making her lay in bed isn't going to work. So we have her get up and take her in the living room and put a movie on for her. She curls up on her little pooh-bear sofa and calms down some. I call the nurse and she says we can give her Motrin even though she just had Tylenol. The Motrin does the trick for getting the pain to go down well enough for her to sleep. By midnight she is able to go to bed.
The medicine wore off at 6:30am and she's awake and crying 'ooch!' I had been up all night going between her and Moya who also decided to not want to sleep. But I got up with her and we watched a movie together and had breakfast while waiting for the doctor to open at 8:30. We finally got to the doctor by a little after 10 and sure enough... massive ear infection! :( The doctor was nice, actually made a good impression on Belle for knowing who her lovey was (Robin hood, the fox version from the old Disney movie). He prescribed her some medicine and we headed home.
She is starting to get better. She still says her ears hurt and she is occasionally running 99. But she isn't crying about her ears like she was or flinching when you touch them. No school for her tomorrow however.
