Belle's been going to Aikido for a few weeks now... maybe a month. She loves it and is doing really well in it.
Today she got her first stripe! She earned it by getting better at her techniques, acting appropriately in class, and also having memorized her phone number.
She was SOOO excited and proud of herself. I was too. I almost cried. :)
After she asked me if I saw her get it I said I did and that I was tearing up watching her. She said, "Mom, Aikido kid moms are strong and cry on the inside." I about died laughing... no idea where she got that.
