Today was Belle's 5 year check up. They tested her vision and her motor skills. She did great at both. One of the tests was a drawing one that she did really good at! But then there is no surprise there.
Her height was 44 inches, which is in the 75 percentile . Her weight was 45.8 which is also in the 75 percentile .
Doctor Brubaker said Belle is developing perfectly. And that she's sharp as a tack. :)
The visit was awesome and Belle was having fun... until the very end when it was vaccination time. She got 4 shots today! Two in each arm and oh my lord did they hurt her. :( I was holding her and they did the shots and she just screamed and screamed! It was all I could do not to cry or hit the nurse.
It took Belle a little bit to calm down but she did and then got 4 stickers for the trouble. The nurse even went into the cupboard and got her the put together stickers Belle loves so much.
Poor thing, on the way home she wanted me to call Daddy so she could tell him about it. And she insisted she couldn't move her arms when we got home. Granted she milked it but by the look at her very red arms, I don't doubt that they hurt a great deal.
But she ultimately was fine. She never ran a fever or had any problems from them other then redness. And the good news is she doesn't need any more until she's 11! Well other then a flu shot.
My big girl... 5 years old already! sniff. :)
