Aladdin

We went to see another play today. This time it was Aladdin. Belle started off not having too good a time. As we got in there and were waiting for it to start Belle started grumping that she was afraid it would be scary and wanted to go. I knew this might happened as she did not sleep good at all the night before and is starting to get a little cold. When she woke up early today I tried to tell her she should go back to sleep for awhile or she'd be to tired for the play. And she was. :) To (possibly) make matters worse while we were waiting for the play to start I saw the little girl that was mean to Belle at the Bring your Child to Work Day, walk in. All Belle needed was to see this girl and it would be a disaster. Luckily the girl walked right by us and didn't notice us. We made it through the entire event without a run in with her thankfully.

I had to take Belle out of the play during the beginning because she was getting worked up but after we came back in she settled down and really started enjoying the play. By the end of it she was in happy mode again.

During one part of the play she had to go to the bathroom so we went and on the way back in we saw the Gene in the hallway! He was played by a man named Richard who has been in several of the plays we have seen. He was Stromboli in Pinocchio and one of the giants in Brave Little Tailor. He's really very good and he recognized Belle. They chatted for a moment and Belle told him she would wish for dinosaurs to be real. He said that was a great wish. He then asked if she would be coming out to meet them after the play and she said "oh yeah!"

After the play ended I rushed Belle out the door. I did this for two reason; one to avoid that girl, and two so she could get to see them first. I'm glad I did. She walked out and the Gene said "HEY! There she is!" :) And they all greeted her like she was their biggest fan! Really cute and I got the best picture in the world of them.

We told Belle we would come see this play again soon since it is the last one of the season. So all in all even though it started out rough it was a good time as always.
