Moya vomited today. Gaga laid a sleeping Moya in her crib only to have her let out a cry and start vomiting. Belle heard and came racing in saying "Oh no! What can I do Gaga!? What do you need? I know... I'll call Mama!" Gaga told her to go get towels and a wet wash cloth first. She did in a flash and then called me. Gaga said she didn't gross out she didn't freak out she was all business and helpful. So proud of my big girl!
And actually... Belle has really been excellent like this a lot for a long time now. She does her homework with minimal grumping or feet dragging. She is SO understanding and non-complaining when Moya is needing all of Gaga's attention in the afternoon, or mine and Daddy's in the evenings. She just gets it that Moya is still a baby and thus isn't able to understand a "hey Moya, give us a minute." :)
Basically my Belle is just a wonderful person, a big helper, and has compassion just oozing out of her. :)
I hope she knows how thankful we grown ups are for that. I feel like I scowled her too often with things like picking up her toys and cleaning up after her crafts. And I'm not saying I shouldn't make her do those things. But I also hope I complement and thank her just as much for all the good things she does all the time without having to be asked! So she leaves scraps of paper all over the place. She also happily helps cheer up her sister when she cries and hands me countless toys, pacifiers, Kleenex, bottles, etc whenever I ask, and often when I don't.
She's a good kid... a good person, and I don't know what I'd do without her... without her being just as she is.
