Belle got her yellow with white stripe belt today! YAY!!!! SOOOO proud of her. She was so overly excited however I had worried about her sitting through the low promotion ceremony. But she did well... little distracted but for the most part she was there and did very well. Luckily the white belts went first so they didn't have to wait long to perform.
She got her new belt and her certificate.
I'm really proud of how she is doing in Aikido. More then learning the techniques it is helping her socially and encouraging her in her confidence in her physical abilities. Belle is extremely smart and that has made her very aware that she can get hurt. This is great BUT it also has made her a little timed to try things. She doesn't always have that fearless kid quality. So I'm glad that Aikido is giving her some confidence that yeah okay she might get a bump or a bruise and she needs to be careful, but getting a little bump isn't gonna kill ya and yes she CAN do these jumps and kicks and all sorts of things if she just tries.
Anyway very proud of my little butt kicker!
