I don't know who is more nervious, Belle or Mommy for Belle!We got to the school and the most wonderful surprise... Stephanie, a little girl from Belle's kindergarten was there and in Belle's class! Such a surprise and a welcomed one. Everything is new to Belle here so it was nice for her to have a familiar face.
She did okay the first day but it was/is a huge change for her. She acted up a few times out of stress but honestly not as bad as I was worried about.
By the end of day 3 we did talk to the principle. Belle wasn't in trouble but the principle had already met Belle a few times and had figured out that she was very smart, very willful, and also very much a kid who will needs some help and time to adjust. Brad and I met with her friday and gave her a little history on Belle and how we've been helping her learn to manage her intense emotions and cope with new environments. I bet within the next few weeks Belle is doing just fine.
