Disneyland Trip - Day 2

We started off the day with breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen. It is a restaurant that is located in our hotel where the characters come around and the kids can meet them. They had Goofy (of course), Pluto, Baloo, Alice, Chip and Dale, and Princess Belle. We first got our picture taken with Pluto and then sat down. Melissa, Jeremy, and Noah met us soon.

The restaurant was buffet style and really very good! We got food and pretty soon characters started coming around. Belle loved seeing all the characters but poor Noah was not so thrilled. He's eye them with suspicion and then decide they were just to strange and start crying. I can't really blame the little guy. From his perspective I think I'd cry too!

One of the highlights of breakfast was Belle meeting Alice. Alice seemed to take a big liking to Belle and hung out with her at our table for a good amount of time. And later when some of the characters did a little show and dance that included the kids and Alice made a point of getting Belle in the middle of it. It was cute.

After breakfast it was time to enter the park for the first time. Belle had a mission... to get to the Haunted Mansion. So we headed there first. It was really cool, and Belle loved it. And by the time we got out she was already wanting to go back through. We convinced her to go on some other rides first however.

We went on Pirates of the Caribbean, the juggle safari ride, and looked around the area designed like the French Quarter. I have to say that was my favorite area of the park. Very beautiful and interesting area.
We then passed through the castle and into Fantasy Land. Belle and Gaga rode the teacups, we went on the flying dumbos, and on Mr. Toad's wild ride.

Later we headed over to Tommorowland. Brad and Belle went on Star Tours which both loved. They wouldn't let pregnant ole mommy on :) but that was okay. We all went on the Buzz Lightyear ride together.

But the highlight of this area for Belle was the Autotopia ride. It was another ride I couldn't go on but Brad and Belle and Gaga went. Brad and Belle rode together the first time. Belle apparently LOVED it. According to Brad she would complain about "Stupid Seattle drivers!" And Brad asked her what she was doing she said "I'm being mommy driving." :) I didn't really think I was that bad but I guess it is just proof that kids are always listening!

After the ride stopped one of the ladies working the ride told Brad and Belle to stay put. She'd heard Belle saying she wanted to ride again and she let them go for another round. But Brad this time let Gaga ride with Belle. Later that night in her sleep Belle sat up and yelled, "Stop peddling for me!" She was dreaming of the ride.

For dinner we had reservations for the Blue Bayou. It is inside the Pirates ride and is made to look like you're dinning on the waterfront at night in the bayou. Very cool ambiance. Belle loved it too. The only complaints would be that it was so dark in there you could hardly read the menu. And maybe that was by design because the menu was very limited and very expensive. But we didn't go there for the food, we went for the location and it was worth it.

By the time we got back to the hotel that night we were all exhausted. Belle was bouncing off the walls but the moment I laid her down on the bed she was out. I'd say a good first day. :)
