This evening Belle was watching her Sleepy Hollow cartoon for the millionth time and drawing pictures of Ichabod. I look over and she's sitting on the floor in front of the TV with her hand held up at the TV, her head tilted and one eye trying to squint. I asked her "Belle, what are you doing?" She said matter of faculty "I'm measuring Ichabod so I know how big to draw him." I stammered in surprise and then told her how amazing that was, that artists are taught to do that...only they normally use just a thumb but a hand works too, and how cool it is that she figured that out on her own.
When Gaga got home I asked her if she had taught Belle that and she said she had not either. So Belle had figured out this little artist's method all on her own! I don't know many 4 year olds who would have thought of that.
Oh and the picture of Ichabod was amazing too! I'll scan it and post it later.
